In 2019, as SHOWFIELDS opened its doors to the public, it embarked on a mission to redefine the retail experience by blending art, technology, and commerce in an unprecedented way. Situated on the third floor of this innovative space, SHOWFIELDS curated a vibrant collective of artists at the forefront of the art and technology fusion, offering them a platform to showcase their pioneering work. Among these select artists, DIBKORMA stood out with the debut of their now-celebrated series, Analog Filters.
For the first time, visitors had the opportunity to step into a room transformed by the 'Analog Filters' installation, a space where art and light converged to create an immersive experience. The installation comprised large, intricately laser-cut acrylic figures, each embedded with its own light source, akin to a lamp glowing from within. These figures were not merely objects to observe but gateways to an interactive journey of color and light. Guests were invited to weave through the figures, enveloped in color baths that shifted with their movement, creating a dynamic interplay of shadows and hues.

We encouraged visitors to not just experience these Analog Filters with the naked eye but to extend their perception through the lenses of their smartphones. By capturing the installation's vibrant interactions with light, guests created their own live filters, blurring the lines between digital augmentation and the tangible world. This engagement was central to the concept of 'Analog Filters'—a direct invitation to live in the moment, to see beyond the digital screen, and to immerse oneself fully in the sensory richness of the here and now.
This groundbreaking installation at SHOWFIELDS was more than an artistic achievement; it was a statement on the transformative power of light and color and a call to explore the depth of our immediate experience. Through 'Analog Filters,' DIBKORMA showcased their innovative vision and set a precedent for interactive art, where viewers become an integral part of the artwork, co-creating the beauty that unfolds around them.
